Jacqueline Simester is an English illustrator influenced by her Nordic ancestry, with an innate curiosity that she brings to her illustrative work, whether it be factual or imaginative, creative or informative. Jacqueline's passionate interest in vintage illustration from the19th and 20th centuries is reflected in her work, which is influenced by elements of Art Nouveau and Victoriana, juxtaposed with the graphic style of 1980's subculture and fashion. Keen to enhance aesthetic experience, Jacqueline ensures that her illustrations are visually appealing but anchored by strong research and observational drawing. She is passionate about quality and craftsmanship without the need for environmental harm and engages with ethical and sustainable methods of production for her own line of illustrated items. Jacqueline has an MA Illustration from Falmouth University and is skilled in both analogue and digital techniques, with Adobe Professional Certification for After Effects motion graphics software.
