Zest-It Printmakers Cleaner

Printmakers Cleaner is an easy to use fluid for cleaning printing plates and surfaces of oil based inks. It will also remove 'stopping-out varnish' and most traditional grounds.
Apply to surface, wait a few moments and wipe with kitchen towel or a cloth.
The flammable nature of Mineral spirits and Turpentine are a dangerous combination when hot plates are used in the workshop area. Printmakers have asked for a non-flammable solution to the two previously mentioned products and the Printmakers Cleaner fulfils that request.
It will clean plates of oil based ink, including dried ink. It can be used to thin ink that is too thick and tacky.
Use to clean Nitrile rollers and some soft rollers, brush the fluid onto the roller, catching the excess for reuse, wipe the fluid from the roller with a cloth.
Note of caution - letting the roller 'sit' in the fluid can cause distortion.
Scrim can be washed in the fluid and dried outside, the fluid can be reused many times, decant into a container and label for future use.
If you need to remove stopping out varnish or hard/soft ground, wet a cloth, wipe over the surface, allow a little time and wipe with kitchen towel to remove.
If there is stubborn residue, allow the Printmakers Cleaner to 'sit' on the offending area for a few minutes and try again. It is not an aggressive cleaner so patience is rewarded!
