The Sennelier Oil Pastel is available in 110 classic colours and 10 Iridescent colours. The size that we stock is 3/8? in diametre and?2 1/2inches in length.
Their consistency is wonderfully buttery and each colour is superbly rich and vibrant and has a high degree of lightfastness.
Oil Pastels can be used on most surfaces and depends completely on yor preferences. Sennelier make an Oil Pastel Pad to use especially with their pastels which is a thick card with slight texture. You coud also use an Oil Painting Paper or any paper which is a minimum of 250gsm to make sure that it retains the Oil Pastel.
Other materials that you may like to use with your Oil Pastels would be some White Spirit, Turpentine or Sansodor which you would use to dilute the pastel and a cloth to clean the end of the pastel after use. You could also use a Blending Stump or Colour Shaper but to have complete control over the pressure you apply, it would perfect just to use your finger.
“Brilliant shop! Wonderful, prompt and attentive service and an excellent array of products (particularly given the size of the space). I usually order online and collect in store (another excellent service) to save the risk of parking my bike outside but always enjoy a wander when I’m in town. Highly recommended!”

“I ordered 3 pads of watercolour paper and when it arrived I was amazed at the way it was packed. Bubble wrap, cardboard wrap then brown paper. As a result the paper arrived in perfect condition. Well done.”

“So nice to have a shop not in a mall or a big impersonal space with knowledgeable helpful staff-full of all the art/craft supplies one could possibly want.”
– Halima
“I’ve only found this wonderful shop recently. I have been coming into this shop regularly since as I’m doing a few craft projects at the moment. The staff are absolutely lovely and have helped me anytime I needed assistance — even with recommendations!”
– Chantelle
“The staff were very helpful and patient and helped me get everything I needed to start traditional inking/inkwash art, which is not that common (but they had the supplies regardless). Coming from a digital background, I had very little idea about what I needed but they were very patient and kind in helping me pick out each piece of equipment.”
