The Pebeo Marbling Inks are available in 9 vibrant colours and are all water-based. Used in conjunction with the Pebeo Marbling Bath you can create gorgeous marbled effects on paper and fabric with ease. Each 45ml pot has a dropper in its lid so its very easy to add the required amount of colour into the prepared marbling bath. Preparation of the bath Sprinkle 2 heaped tablespoons of thickener into 1 litre of cold water. Mix vigorously and allow to stand for at least 2 hours. Next, spread a layer of the bath/gel 2-3cm thick into a flat tray or a container larger than the objects to be painted. Adding the Marbling Inks Using a dropper, carefully drop the selected Marbling Ink colours on the surface of the mixture/bath. Allow the drops of colour to spread for a few seconds before working them with a wooden stick, the point of a stick or comb to get various patterns and marblings. Transferring and Drying When the marbling is complete, gently place the side of the fabric or paper to be painted onto the surface of the coloured bath and leave for 10 to 15 seconds. Lift it out and quickly rinse it under running water to remove any excess gel or colour. Allow drying on a flat surface. To fix colours on fabric, press on the reverse side of the fabric for 3 minutes using a hot iron.
“Brilliant shop! Wonderful, prompt and attentive service and an excellent array of products (particularly given the size of the space). I usually order online and collect in store (another excellent service) to save the risk of parking my bike outside but always enjoy a wander when I’m in town. Highly recommended!”

“I ordered 3 pads of watercolour paper and when it arrived I was amazed at the way it was packed. Bubble wrap, cardboard wrap then brown paper. As a result the paper arrived in perfect condition. Well done.”

“So nice to have a shop not in a mall or a big impersonal space with knowledgeable helpful staff-full of all the art/craft supplies one could possibly want.”
– Halima
“I’ve only found this wonderful shop recently. I have been coming into this shop regularly since as I’m doing a few craft projects at the moment. The staff are absolutely lovely and have helped me anytime I needed assistance — even with recommendations!”
– Chantelle
“The staff were very helpful and patient and helped me get everything I needed to start traditional inking/inkwash art, which is not that common (but they had the supplies regardless). Coming from a digital background, I had very little idea about what I needed but they were very patient and kind in helping me pick out each piece of equipment.”
