White gesso is an important paint medium which is needed to get your canvas ready for painting. It is very similar to white acrylic paint but is thinner meaning it can be applied easily and smoothly. Without gesso your paint will soak into the weave of the canvas. Daler Rowney Graduate White Gesso is affordable, reliable and easy to use.
The white gesso can be applied to many surfaces, and once dried will be ready to paint on with Daler Rowney Graduate Acrylic colours, which have very good pigment strength and flow easily across paper and primed surfaces or canvas. These fast-drying, medium-body colours are smooth, easy to use, and mix well together over the white gesso itself.
