Rosa Watercolours - Chosen by the Broad Canvas Team

Rosa watercolours, we all like something more for less. Rosa watercolours, manufactured in Ukraine, fit the bill. Very similar to St Petersburg White Night watercolours, these are highly pigmented, brilliant professional colours. They are excellent value for money and offer an extensive range of tubes and whole pans. There is a broad range of sets to choose from too. From urban sketching to botanical illustration and mono pigments for the purist, you'll be sure to find the ideal gift for any watercolourist.

Derwent Drawing Pencils - Chosen by Jerry D

With a shop full of many wonders, It’s hard to make a choice. However, I’d go with my favourite range of pencils. Derwent’s drawing pencils are rich, soft and creamy. Inktense Pencils - Chosen by Neil D

What magical pencils these are!

They come in a large range of colours with evocative names such as Sienna Gold, Ionian Green, and Wild Flame. They can be used dry, and are both easy and inspiring to work with. They can make delicate marks, ideal for detailing, or (with the addition of water) broad and vivid washes of luminous hues; they are also ideal for building and layering colour.

As well as paper, they can also be used on fabrics, ceramics and wood, and they combine well with many other mediums. They are currently my 'go to' pencils for drawing!

Sennelier Oil Pastels - Chosen by Molly T

With so many different artist materials and mediums to choose from, I couldn't recommend enough a set of Sennelier's oil pastels. Having used these pastels for a variety of projects myself, the buttery smooth consistency of these pastels allows for seamless layering and blending. Colour Me in Oxford, and Faber Castell Colouring Pencils - Chosen by Peter B

It’s no surprise that I’d recommend my Oxford themed children’s colouring book: Colour Me In Oxford!, which I illustrated and wrote. It has 24 pages, each with a rhyme to accompany the picture. I recommend pencils for colouring it in, such as the Faber-Castell sets of 12 or 24 Colour Pencils.
