About the artist

Hello, I’m Hazel Potier. I live in Risinghurst, Oxford, very near CSLEWIS nature reserve and Shotover. I spend a lot of time in both these places which inspire much of my artwork. I use all sorts of media including collage, acrylic paints, ink and pastels. I work on paper, canvas and board. Please see more work on Instagram @hazelpotier.

Looking into the pond at CSLewis nature reserve. On this day it was cold and clear, the water both reflected branches against the clear sky and revealed leaves on or just under the surface. The colours in the water were a murky brown which became golden and transparent as the sun shone on it.
